At Sawaeid Charity, access to clean and safe water is essential for protecting women’s health, dignity, and recovery—particularly for survivors of sexual violence. Across vulnerable communities, we work to ensure women have reliable water sources not only for immediate survival, but for long-term safety and healing. When women are forced to travel long distances or rely on unsafe water sources, their risk of harm increases. We recognise that drought, displacement, and disease place an added burden on women and girls, and that simply installing wells or hand pumps does not address their need for security, privacy, and sustainability.
